Job Description – Sewing Trainee

Job Title: Sewing Trainee
Department: Production
Reports To: Sewing Supervisor / Line Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Sewing Trainee will undergo training in garment sewing operations and learn to operate sewing machines safely and efficiently. The trainee will support the production team while developing the skills required to meet quality and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Learn and operate different types of sewing machines.

- Follow training instructions provided by the supervisor or trainer.

- Practice assigned sewing operations as per the production requirements.

- Maintain the required quality standards during sewing.

- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

- Handle garments and materials carefully to avoid damage.

- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping at the workstation.

- Follow all safety rules and company policies.

- Report machine problems or quality issues to the supervisor.





- Work effectively as part of a production team.

- Achieve the required skill level and productivity targets during the training period.

Qualifications

- Minimum educational qualification as per company requirements.

- Freshers are welcome to apply.

- Basic understanding of garment manufacturing is an added advantage.
