Your new role, what's involved?
n
Responsibilities
n
To contribute to the technical development and delivery of studies and analysis within the power systems team:
n
n
- To deliver consulting work related to the various types of power systems studies and analysis, for example
n
- Static studies such as load flow, fault level and reactive compensation;
n
- Dynamic studies such as stability studies;
n
- Harmonic analysis/ power quality/ filter design;
n
- Transient overvoltage/ Insultation coordination;
n
- Control interaction studies;
n
- Earthing studies; and/or
n
- Protection coordination and Arc Flash studies
n
- To provide technical and project management leadership to support the project team in the successful delivery of consulting work;
n
- Management and resourcing of the power systems team; and
n
- Ensuring technical quality of delivery of power systems projects, reports and proposals.
n
- To contribute to the commercial development of studies and analysis within the power systems team:
n
- To build and maintain key client relationships to effectively position power systems services and secure future business;
n
- To identify areas where services/skill sets can be integrated through multi-disciplinary working, thereby developing and growing new services;
n
- To lead the development and delivery of project proposals;
n
- Lead on efficiency improvements in delivery, for example driving the development of new scripts on power systems software packages; and
n
- Lead on excellence in power systems software packages (e.g. DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD, IPSA, CDEGs, etc.)
n
- To grow iCRC UK Energy Advisory vertical into next level managing recruitment and utilisation
n

Qualifications
n

- Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialisation
n
- Extensive experience in power systems consulting
n
- Desire and ability to drive growth in power systems
n
- A wide network of industry contacts and clients
n
- Proactive and highly motivated to meet customer requirements
n
- Proven track record in leading teams
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace, often working on multiple projects/ proposals at any one time
n
- Ability to deliver client work efficiently to externally driven deadlines
n
- Focus on quality, ensuring excellence of deliverables for both project reports and proposals
n
- Strong & indepth market knowledge of UK Power Industry
n
- Proven client relationship with UK clients
n
