1. Core Responsibilities A. Manhattan Active WM Configuration — Must Have Candidate should have hands-on experience with:
- Inventory management - Inbound processes - Outbound processes
- Labor Management - Wave Management / Work Management - Facility/site configuration - Master data setup - Workflows - Business rules - UDC / User-Defined Configurations - Translating business requirements into system configurations B. Warehouse Operations Knowledge — Must Have Candidate should understand the complete warehouse lifecycle: Inbound - Receiving - Putaway - Inventory movement Inventory - Inventory management - Cycle counting - Location management - Stock adjustments Outbound - Picking - Packing - Shipping - Wave/work execution Labor - Labor management - Productivity/work allocation
2. Testing Experience — Very Important Look for candidates who have actually designed and executed testing, not just participated in meetings. Testing types: - Unit Testing - SIT – System Integration Testing - UAT – User Acceptance Testing - Regression Testing Candidate should be able to: - Create test cases/scripts - Execute test scenarios - Identify defects - Log defects - Track defects to closure - Retest fixes - Validate defect resolution Tools: - JIRA - HP ALM - Azure DevOps - Similar defect/test management tools
3. Integration Knowledge Candidate should understand how Manhattan WM communicates with other enterprise systems.
Look for experience with: WMS ↔ ERP WMS ↔ TMS WMS ↔ OMS They should be able to: - Validate inbound/outbound data flows - Troubleshoot integration issues - Perform data validation - Identify whether an issue is configuration, integration, or data-related
4. SQL — Preferred SQL is preferred, not mandatory. Candidate should ideally be comfortable with: - Basic SQL queries - Data validation - Troubleshooting - Checking warehouse transaction/data records
5. Implementation / Go-Live Experience Solid candidates should have experience supporting: - Cutover activities - Data validation - Go-live - Hypercare - Post-go-live stabilization - Production support - Root-cause analysis This is particularly valuable if the current project is already in the implementation/rollout or go-live phase.
Required Experience Minimum: 3+ years of Manhattan Active WM experience OR Manhattan WMOS / SCALE experience + willingness to transition to Manhattan Active WM Strong preference: - Hands-on Manhattan Active WM configuration - WMS implementation experience - Testing experience - Integration knowledge - Go-live/cutover experience Preferred Qualifications - Manhattan Active WM certification - Formal Manhattan training - Agile/Scrum experience - Previous WMS implementation/rollout projects - Production support experience
