Job Description
Associate Professor – Logistics & Supply Chain Management

Educational Qualification
n
n
Must have PG in Logistics & Supply Chain Management / Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Operations Management / relevant field. PhD Preferable.
n
n
Total Years of Experience
n
n
7 to 10+ Years of Experience in academics and/or industry, preferably with relevant experience in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
n
n
Roles & Responsibilities
n
n
n
1. Your tour of duty shall be as per the scheduled time table planned by the Director.
n
2. Conduct lectures as per the scheduled workload and teaching plan and ensure successful completion of the same.
n
3. Contribute to syllabus enrichment in line with current industry trends, emerging technologies, statutory requirements, and developments in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
n
4. Carry out examination duties and ensure timely assessment of projects, assignments, internal assessments, and examinations.
n
5. Deliver lectures and practical sessions to develop students’ conceptual knowledge and practical skills in logistics and supply chain management.
n
6. Coordinate and contribute to logistics and supply chain-related lab activities, simulations, software-based learning, and development of practical learning modules.
n
7. Contribute to academic administration activities, admissions, internships, placements, industry projects, and other institutional activities.
n
8. Participate in industry training, industrial visits, field projects, and other activities to enhance practical knowledge and industry exposure.
n
9. Enhance professional and academic skills by attending seminars, conferences, workshops, training programmes, and industry development programmes.
n
10. Develop and maintain strong industry networks for student skill development, internships, placements, live projects, guest lectures, industrial visits,
and industry-academic collaborations.
n
11. Provide academic support and act as a mentor to students, guiding them in academic development, career planning, project work, and enhancement of soft skills.
n
12. Actively participate in examination duties, evaluation of papers, project evaluation, moderation, and timely submission of results.
n
13. Contribute to research and academic publications through journals, books, book chapters, articles, case studies, and conference papers.
n
14. Undertake and contribute to sponsored research projects, consultancy assignments, industry projects, and innovative academic initiatives using contemporary teaching methods, analytical tools, and relevant software.
n

Technical Skillsets Required
n
n
n
- Strong knowledge of Logistics & Supply Chain Management and related functional areas.
n
- Good understanding of contemporary supply chain trends, logistics networks, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain technologies.
n
- Hands-on academic and/or industry experience in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
n
- Knowledge of procurement, inventory management, demand forecasting, supply chain planning, transportation management, warehouse management, distribution management, and supplier relationship management is desirable.
n
- Understanding of emerging areas such as digital supply chains, e-commerce logistics, last-mile delivery, supply chain analytics, sustainability, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
n
- Robust teaching, presentation, and classroom management skills.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
- Ability to develop and deliver practical, application-oriented, and skill-based learning modules.
n
- Proficiency in relevant digital tools, supply chain software, analytics tools, ERP systems, and technology-enabled teaching methods.
n
- Knowledge of data analytics and quantitative techniques relevant to logistics and supply chain decision-making.
n
