1. PRE-REQUISITES
n

n

Hands-on troubleshooting experience in Enterprise LAN/WAN setting

n

Strong technical subject matter expertise on the following:

n

n
- Cisco GSR routers and switches like Catalyst 3560/3750/4948
n
- Juniper MX series routers and switches
n
- SDWAN – Silver Peak (Aruba/HP), Cisco Viptela, Fortinet
n
- Transmission technologies like Alcatel 7750SR-c12, Alcatel 7470, ADVA
n

n

Technical expertise with routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and switching (VLAN, Trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP) protocols

n

Knowledge of MPLS, QoS and VoIP

n

Knowledge on SDWAN technologies using Silver Peak (Aruba/HP), Viptela and Fortinet

n

Knowledge of security technologies

n

Knowledge on scripting languages like Python

n

Excellent communications skills and must have worked with Global customers and global carriers

n

RESPONSIBILITIES

n

n
- Engineers who have a passion and understanding for providing outstanding customer service. This person will be a part of a team of experts who are responsible for handling and providing network/security support, problem management,



managing network performance and proactively identifying issues before they become customer affecting. This team provides 24x7 support, as well as provides training to junior engineers.
n
- Remote management and monitor Network Operations
n
- Support NOC 24x7 for large global clients that have a distributed LAN/WAN setup
n
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Incident Management/Ticket Resolution
n
- Create MOP/SOP and plan Change Management process
n
- Perform Performance Tuning of network devices and create SOPs
n
- Work with Telecommunication Service Providers to resolve escalated circuit problems
n
- Plan and perform upgrade of firmware
n
- Work with hardware/software vendors to resolve problems
n
- Train and mentor juniors
n
- Act as an SME SPOC for certain network products
n
- Provide technical inputs for weekly/monthly customer service review reports
n
- Any additional task given to the incumbent from time-to-time based on business needs
n

TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION

- CCNA, CCNP, JCNIA, JNCIS, JNCIP
n

n

n

EXPERIENCE

n

n
- Minimum 5 years of progressive, relevant experience and proven capability to work in a complex network environment
n

n

n

EDUCATION

n

n
- Bachelor in Engineering - Computers/Electronics/Communication or related field
n
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Science/Maths/IT or related streams with relevant technology experience
n

n

n

OTHER SKILLS

n

n
- Good communication skills - written as well as verbal
n
- Passion to work on core technology platform
n
- ITIL process awareness
n
