Role Overview

n

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Business Excellence to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, productivity enhancement, and sustainability initiatives across the plant.

n

The role will focus on identifying improvement opportunities, eliminating operational losses, optimizing processes and resources, and building a robust continuous improvement culture through structured Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

n

Business Excellence & Operational Improvement

n

n
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, throughput, efficiency and operational performance .
n
- Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and process losses.
n
- Lead Lean and Six Sigma projects focused on cost reduction and process optimization.
n
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production losses and recurring operational issues.
n
- Work closely with Production, R&D;, Process Engineering, Quality,



Maintenance and other functions to implement improvement initiatives.
n
- Drive structured problem-solving and continuous improvement across plant operations.
n

n

Kaizen & Continuous Improvement

n

n
- Plan and conduct regular KAIZEN events at plant level.
n
- Facilitate and mentor Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) in structured problem-solving.
n
- Drive implementation of 5S, Visual Management and Standard Work .
n
- Monitor improvement action plans and ensure timely implementation.
n
- Conduct follow-ups and audits to ensure sustainability of implemented Kaizens.
n
- Encourage employee participation and generate improvement ideas across the plant.
n

Sustainability & Resource Optimization

n

n
- Drive initiatives for waste reduction, energy conservation and water optimization .
n
- Identify opportunities for recycling, recovery and reuse of materials and by-products.
n
- Monitor sustainability and environmental performance metrics.
n
- Support compliance with environmental and corporate sustainability standards.
n
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement resource-efficiency projects.
n

Training & Culture Building

n

n
- Conduct training on Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, problem-solving and continuous improvement .
n
- Build awareness and capability among plant employees at various levels.
n
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and operational discipline.
n
- Act as a Change Agent to drive adoption of Business Excellence practices.
n

Candidate Profile

n

n
- 10+ years of experience in Chemical / Process Manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment.
n
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in implementing Lean / Six Sigma projects .
n
- Engineering Graduate with Lean / Six Sigma certification ; Black Belt preferred.
n
- Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and plant operations .
n
- Proven experience in KAIZEN, Lean Manufacturing, process optimization and waste reduction .
n
- Strong knowledge of Six Sigma tools, RCA and structured problem-solving methodologies .
n
- Good understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) and safe chemical plant operations.
n
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and improvement projects .
n
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, influencing and change-management skills.
n
- Ability to convert improvement opportunities into measurable business results .
n
