Job Description:

The Asia Pacific Division
has an opening for a Claims
Adjuster to be based in the Mumbai
office,
India.

Reporting
to Benjamin Lin , Vice President, Operations Claims Manager, the
role will include the investigation, negotiation and settlement of
predominantly large, complex Property and Business Interruption
claims throughout the Asia Operational Claims
territory.

With responsibility
for developing and maintaining long-lasting relationships with our
clients, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate a high
level of personal credibility through outstanding interpersonal
skills and an aptitude for
negotiation.

The job will
include:

- investigating and
assisting the Insured in loss mitigation activities, including but
not limited to salvage, restoration of production, claims
preparation
andsubrogation;

- consulting
with the Insured’s top
management;

- negotiating with
the Insured to reconcile any differences of opinion regarding the
loss measurement and/or




coverage;

- maintaining
rapport with the Insured in order to reach an equitable and
favourable settlement as promptly as
possible;

- extensive
traveling, occasionally at short
notice.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess the
following:

- Bachelors Degree
or other related discipline, preferably in
engineering.

- At least 5-8
years of insurance industry Claims
experience.

- excellent
written and verbal communication skills in
English.

- an ability to
develop solid relationships with
clients.

- excellent
organizational and time-management
skills.

This
role may be offered at different grade levels subject to the
candidate’s experience, skills, and business needs. The
successful candidate might be seconded either to London Ops. or
Asia Ops. for on-the-job training up to a one-year
period.
