Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Zonal Credit Manager to lead the credit function across South India for a leading financial services/NBFC organization.

The role will involve managing a team of credit professionals and overseeing the end-to-end credit function across the southern region, with a robust focus on credit quality, policy adherence, risk management, and business support.

n

n

Key Responsibilities

n

• Lead and manage the Zonal Credit team across South India

n

• Oversee credit appraisal, assessment, sanction and portfolio quality across the region

n

• Ensure effective implementation of credit policies, processes and risk frameworks

n

• Drive portfolio monitoring and proactively identify credit risks

n

• Partner closely with Sales and Business teams to enable quality business growth

n

• Review complex/high-value credit proposals and provide sound credit recommendations

n

• Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends and early warning indicators

n

• Coach, develop and manage the regional credit team

n

• Ensure strong governance,



compliance and adherence to internal credit guidelines

n

• Work closely with the National Credit Manager on regional credit strategy and portfolio performance

n

n

Ideal Profile

n

✔️ 10–15+ years of experience in Credit / Credit Underwriting / Risk Management

n

✔️ Strong experience in retail lending / NBFC / financial services

n

✔️ Proven experience in team and regional/zonal credit management

n

✔️ Strong understanding of credit assessment, underwriting and portfolio management

n

✔️ Strong stakeholder management and decision-making skills

n

✔️ Candidates currently based in Hyderabad or open to relocating will be preferred

n
