Job DescriptionLa Bake Amore is looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef – Pastry to join our academic and production team. This is an opportunity for a pastry professional who enjoys not only creating high-quality products, but also leading teams, maintaining professional standards, and developing the next generation of pastry professionals. What you’ll be responsible for
Assist in managing day-to-day pastry kitchen and production operations
Supervise and guide pastry chefs and junior team members
Ensure consistency in recipes, techniques, presentation and product quality
Support planning and execution of practical pastry classes and demonstrations
Train students in professional pastry techniques and kitchen practices
Assist with recipe development, standardisation and product R&D;
Monitor mise en place, production schedules, wastage and inventory
Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and kitchen discipline
Support curriculum development and practical training initiatives
Coordinate with the academic and operations teams to ensure smooth functioning of classes and production What we’re looking for
5+ years of professional pastry experience, preferably with experience in a structured hotel, pâtisserie, bakery,



restaurant or culinary institute
Solid knowledge of cakes, pastries, breads, viennoiserie, desserts and modern pastry techniques
Excellent understanding of professional kitchen operations and production planning
Solid communication and team-management skills
Passion for teaching, mentoring and developing young pastry professionals
High attention to detail and consistency
Skilled attitude, discipline and willingness to continuously learn Teaching experience will be an advantage, but is not mandatory. Why join La Bake Amore?
