Job Description
1. Role Purpose
n
To lead and strengthen the organisation’s internal communication and employer branding agenda , creating a consistent, engaging and transparent communication experience for employees across Corporate, Retail and Manufacturing.
n
The role will be responsible for translating business priorities, leadership messages, employee initiatives and organisational culture into clear, impactful and engaging communication across appropriate channels.
n
The position will also build and strengthen the organisation’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP) and employer brand , helping attract, engage and retain talent.
n
n
2. Key Responsibilities
n
A. Internal Communications
n
n
- Develop and execute the annual Internal Communication Calendar aligned with business and HR priorities.
n
- Draft and publish leadership communications, employee announcements, HR communications and organisational updates.
n
- Support communication from the Chairman, MD, CEO, CHRO and other senior leaders .
n
- Translate business strategy, organisational priorities and transformation initiatives into employee-friendly communication.
n
- Manage communication across Corporate, Retail and Manufacturing employees.
n
- Develop communication campaigns around HR initiatives such as PMS, engagement surveys, HRMS, learning, rewards, policies, wellbeing and employee recognition.
n
- Ensure communication is simple, sharp, timely, consistent and action-oriented .
n
- Develop communication formats including:
n
- Emailers
n
- Posters
n
- Newsletters
n
- Digital banners
n
- Videos
n
- Leadership messages
n
- Employee stories
n
- Townhall communication
n
- FAQs
n
- Campaign communication
n
- WhatsApp / employee communication, wherever appropriate.

B. Leadership Communication
n
n
- Work closely with senior leadership to understand communication priorities and convert them into effective communication.
n
- Prepare leadership messages, speeches, townhall content and employee communication.
n
- Support communication during organisational changes, new initiatives and transformation programs.
n
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging and organisational positioning across leadership communications.
n
- Develop communication toolkits for leaders and people managers.
n
n
C. Employer Branding
n
n
- Develop and strengthen the organisation’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP) .
n
- Build a differentiated employer brand reflecting the organisation’s heritage, culture, people and future aspirations.
n
- Develop campaigns showcasing:
n
- Employee stories
n
- Career opportunities
n
- Learning and development
n
- Leadership
n
- Employee achievements
n
- Workplace culture
n
- Social initiatives
n
- Women / diversity initiatives
n
- Manufacturing and retail careers
n
- Campus opportunities.
n
- Manage employer branding presence across relevant digital and social channels in partnership with the Marketing / Digital team.
n
- Support development of careers pages, recruitment campaigns and employer branding collateral.
n
- Create content that positions the organisation as an employer of choice .
n

D. Employee Engagement Communication
n
n
- Support the design and communication of employee engagement initiatives.
n
- Develop campaigns to drive participation in engagement surveys, employee activities and HR programs.
n
- Create employee recognition and appreciation campaigns.
n
- Develop internal campaigns around key occasions, festivals, organisational milestones and employee achievements.
n
- Capture and communicate employee success stories across the organisation.
n
n
E. Content & Creative Management
n
n
- Own the internal communication content pipeline.
n
- Work with internal teams and external agencies/designers to create high-quality communication assets.
n
- Develop concepts and briefs for videos, posters, digital campaigns and employee stories.
n
- Ensure communication is visually engaging while maintaining brand guidelines.
n
- Support creation of short-form video content for internal and employer-branding purposes.
n
- Maintain a repository of approved communication templates and brand assets.
n
n
F. Communication Channels
n
Manage and optimise appropriate employee communication channels such as:
n

- Email
n
- Employee communication platforms
n
- HRMS / Employee App
n
- WhatsApp / digital communication channels
n
- Intranet

- Digital displays
n
- Notice boards
n
- Townhalls
n
- Employee newsletters
n
- Leadership forums.

Ensure the right message reaches the right employee segment through the right channel at the right time .

G. Change & Transformation Communication
n
n
- Support communication for major organisational initiatives including HRMS, organisational restructuring, new policies, process changes and transformation programs.
n
- Develop communication plans covering Awareness → Understanding → Acceptance → Adoption .
n
- Create FAQs, manager toolkits and employee communication packs for major change initiatives.
n
- Work closely with HR Business Partners and functional leaders to ensure effective cascade.
n
n
H. Employer Brand Analytics
n
n
- Track effectiveness of internal communication and employer branding campaigns.
n

4. Preferred Experience
n
n
- 4–8 years of experience in Internal Communications / Employer Branding / Corporate Communications / Employee Engagement / HR Communications .
n
- Experience in a large, multi-location organisation would be preferred.
n
- Exposure to Retail, Manufacturing, FMCG, Apparel, Textiles or Consumer-facing businesses would be an advantage.
n
- Experience working directly with senior leadership is preferred.
n
- Experience managing communication across a blue-collar, Grey – Collar + white-collar workforce will be an advantage.
n
- Strong English writing skills; Tamil communication capability is highly desirable for employee communication across Tamil Nadu.
n

5. Ideal Candidate Profile
n
The ideal candidate should be a strong communicator, storyteller and campaign manager who can understand the organisation’s culture and business priorities and convert them into communication that employees can easily understand, relate to and act upon.
n
The person should be equally comfortable writing a Chairman’s message, developing an employee engagement campaign, creating an employee story, briefing a creative agency and coordinating a communication campaign across hundreds of stores and manufacturing locations.
