An Azure Platform Engineer designs, builds, and maintains internal developer platforms and reusable infrastructure services on Microsoft Azure.

Core Responsibilities
Build Internal Platforms: Create self-service templates, deployment settings, and golden paths so developers can spin up resources safely and quickly.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write and manage repeatable infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
CI/CD & Automation: Set up automated pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for smooth software delivery.
Governance & Security: Enforce organizational compliance, role-based access control (RBAC), and network security using Azure Policy.
Container Management:
Administer containerized workloads via Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker.
Monitoring & Reliability: Track system health and performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Key Skills Needed
Cloud Knowledge: Deep understanding of Azure networking, compute, identity (Entra ID), and storage.
Scripting & Code: Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
DevOps Tools: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD platforms.
Certifications: Popular credentials include Microsoft's Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
