Job Summary

The Head of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the entire maintenance and technical operations of the polyplast manufacturing facility. This role ensures maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and strict safety compliance across extrusion, spiral cutting, lamination, and reprocessing units.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Maintenance & Process Management
Oversee mechanical, electrical, and automation maintenance for all core machinery:

Extrusion Line: Ensure smooth operation of extruders, die heads, temperature controllers, and drive systems.

Spiral Cutter: Maintain cutting precision, blade alignment, drive motors, and high-speed cutting assemblies.

Lamination Line: Manage heating rollers, tension control systems, corona treaters, and adhesive application units.

Reprocessing Unit: Maintain shredders, granulators, agglomerators, and pelletizing systems to ensure effective plastic recycling.
Implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) schedules to minimize un-planned downtime.




Execute swift Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and breakdown maintenance during operational failures.
Asset & Resource Management
Manage spare parts inventory, tools, and consumables to optimize cost and ensure continuous machine availability.
Plan and execute machine overhauls, retrofits, and utility management (chillers, air compressors, power distribution, and boilers).
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Enforce statutory safety standards, EHS policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all plant utility and process equipment.
Ensure machine calibration and output quality align with company standards.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead, train, and mentor the maintenance technician and engineering staff.
Drive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to reduce energy consumption and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Job Requirements
Education: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in plastic manufacturing maintenance, with specific hands-on expertise in extrusion, lamination, and recycling processes.
Skills: PLC/Drive troubleshooting, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, team leadership, and inventory control.
