Process Optimisation: Develop and optimise electroplating processes (to achieve uniform, defect-free coatings.
Chemistry Management: Monitor and adjust chemical bath parameterssuch as pH, temperature, and concentration—in coordination with the laboratory.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve plating defects, equipment malfunctions, and chemical imbalances.
Quality Control: Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols (e.g., Cpk, SPC, FMEA) to ensure coatings meet industry and client standards.
Equipment Maintenance: Participate in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of plating lines, rectifiers, and filtration systems.
Cost Reduction: Identify prospects to minimise chemical consumption, reduce scrap rates, and optimise precious metal usage.
