ROLE SUMMARY

The senior engineer who holds the technical line on our priority product: architecture is written down before build, the riskiest changes are reviewed personally, and day-to-day technical decisions are made inside the team rather than escalated. The role proposes; the Founder accepts. A decision on external hire versus internal promotion will be made within a few weeks HR action now is limited to finalising this JD and identifying sourcing channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the architecture record for the priority product: components, data flow, trust boundaries, secrets locations written, reviewed, and kept current.

• Review high-risk changes; uphold review-before-merge and tests-on-every-commit as non-negotiable team rules.





• Break the roadmap into buildable tasks with the Project Manager; keep technical scope honest against deadlines.

• Mentor the team on engineering discipline, including the secure use of AI-assisted coding tools.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years full-stack engineering experience: Node.js and/or Python, contemporary web frontends, relational databases.

• Has led, or been the senior engineer on, a small product team.

• Robust code-review discipline and architectural writing ability.

• Comfortable in an evidence-driven culture: claims backed by tests, versions, and reproducible proof.
