Read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings and GD&T; to accurately machine complex rotational parts.
Load, edit, and adjust CNC turning programs (G-code) as needed to achieve required tolerances on precision components.
Prove out current/complex parts independently, making necessary offsets and program adjustments to meet drawing specifications.
Perform first-article inspections to validate dimensions and tolerances before full production runs.
Conduct in-process and final quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and CMM to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Maintain compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and OEM standards throughout the machining process.
Record machining parameters and inspection results accurately for full traceability.
Ensure material certification and process documentation are maintained for audit readiness.
Follow strict safety and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention practices in aerospace manufacturing environments.
Coordinate with engineers and quality teams to troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement.
Handle complex, close-tolerance components with minimal supervision, demonstrating solid hands-on CNC turning expertise.
Maintain a proactive, energetic approach anticipating job requirements and sustaining high productivity on the shop floor.
