Job Description

We are looking for a Linux Server Administrator with 1–3 years of hands-on experience to manage, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure and production servers.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Ubuntu/Linux system administration , networking, security, troubleshooting, and server management. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is expected, but the primary focus of this role will be Linux server administration and infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Ubuntu/Linux servers .
n
- Perform day-to-day Linux system administration, including user management, permissions, processes, services, packages, storage, and system resources.
n
- Monitor server health, CPU, memory, disk usage, network activity, and system performance.
n
- Troubleshoot Linux server, networking, storage, and application-related issues.
n
- Manage SSH, firewalls, users, groups, permissions, sudo access, and basic Linux security hardening .
n
- Configure and maintain Nginx and Apache web servers and reverse proxy configurations.
n
- Manage DNS, TCP/IP, ports, routing, and other basic networking components.
n
- Deploy and manage Docker containers , images, volumes, networks, and containerized applications.
n
- Perform basic Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting , including pods, deployments, services, namespaces, logs, and resource management.
n
- Monitor and analyze system and application logs to identify and resolve issues.
n
- Manage server backups, storage,



disk space, and basic disaster recovery procedures.
n
- Automate repetitive administrative tasks using Bash scripting ; basic Python knowledge is a plus.
n
- Assist development and DevOps teams with server, deployment, and infrastructure-related issues.
n
- Follow established security, backup, monitoring, and maintenance procedures.
n
- Maintain documentation for server configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and standard operating procedures.
n
- Participate in production support and resolve infrastructure issues within defined timelines.

Required Skills nn
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Linux Server Administration .
n
- Strong working knowledge of Ubuntu Linux .
n
- Positive understanding of Linux:

- Good understanding of Linux networking , including TCP/IP, DNS, ports, routing, and firewalls.

- Hands-on experience with Docker and basic container management.

- Basic to positive understanding of Kubernetes concepts and troubleshooting.

- Experience with Nginx or Apache .
n




- Ability to troubleshoot server and application issues using Linux command-line tools.
n
- Basic Bash scripting and automation skills.
n
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, or similar .
n
- Basic understanding of Git and deployment/CI/CD processes.
n
- Experience with backup management, storage, and log analysis.
n
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills nn
- Experience managing Linux servers in a production environment.
n
- Familiarity with docker / containerd and Linux container runtimes.
n
- Knowledge of centralized logging tools such as Loki, ELK/Elastic Stack , or similar.
n
- Understanding of SSL/TLS certificates and configuration.
n
- Basic understanding of load balancing and reverse proxy concepts.
n
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Proxmox, or KVM.
n
- Basic knowledge of Linux performance troubleshooting and optimization.
n
