A clinical psychologist assesses, diagnoses, and treats mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders using talk therapy and evidence-based interventions.
Core Responsibilities
Assessment and Diagnosis: Evaluate patients through interviews, observations, and psychological tests to diagnose conditions using standard manuals like the DSM-5.
Treatment Planning: Design personalized, short-term or long-term therapy programs tailored to individual patient needs.
Psychotherapy: Conduct individual, group, family, or couples therapy using modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Progress Monitoring: Track patient recovery over time and adjust treatment approaches as necessary.
Collaboration: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams of doctors, social workers,
and psychiatrists to coordinate holistic patient care.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential records of patient sessions and treatment outcomes.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Education: A doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.).
Licensure: Valid state or national licensure to practice clinical psychology.
Empathy and Communication: Solid interpersonal skills to build trust and support people in distress.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex behavioral data and apply psychological research to clinical challenges.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
