About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience to help build and lead a growing India-based Data Engineering pod working closely with the UK Data team. This role will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, improving platform reliability, implementing CI/CD best practices, and supporting up-to-date analytics and AI/ML initiatives.

The candidate should be technically strong, comfortable working in a collaborative international environment, and capable of mentoring junior engineers within the India pod.

Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines
Work extensively with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and Python
Implement CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows
Improve monitoring, alerting, reliability, and data quality processes
Collaborate with Data Scientists, BI teams, and stakeholders
Support data modelling and architecture initiatives
Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team




Contribute to MLOps and production deployment foundations

Required Skills:
Strong SQL and Python skills
Hands-on experience with Snowflake
Strong experience with dbt
Experience building production-grade data pipelines
Valuable understanding of data modelling concepts (3NF, Kimball, etc.)
Experience with CI/CD and Git-based workflows
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working with cloud-based modern data platforms

Additional Notes:
This role will work very closely with UK-based engineering teams
Strong communication and ownership mindset are important
Previous experience mentoring or leading engineers is preferred
