Job Summary

Indian racing runs on clubs with long institutional memory and a stewardship culture older than most of the technology sold to them. This role builds the relationships that let a club adopt continuous monitoring on its own terms - and it is founded on one finding: tracks that publish their injury data record roughly a third fewer fatalities than tracks that do not.

Responsibilities
Build relationships with the stewards, committees and racing secretaries of the Royal Western India Turf Club, Bangalore Turf Club, Hyderabad Race Club, Royal Calcutta Turf Club, Madras Race Club and the Mysore and Pune clubs
Present the compliance case plainly: continuous stride, gait, asymmetry, temperature and recovery data as an auditable record a club can stand behind with its stewards, its regulator and the public
Work with club veterinarians and the veterinary panel on what the data does and does not establish, and on where the clinical judgement stays with them
Support clubs that choose to publish injury statistics, and help them build the reporting that makes publication possible
Coordinate with trainers and yards inside a club,



whose cooperation decides whether a deployment works
Feed back to engineering what an Indian club needs that an American or Gulf one does not

Requirements
Deep familiarity with Indian racing - its clubs, its stewardship structure, its calendar and the way decisions are actually taken
Credible with stewards, committee members and racing secretaries, and patient with the pace at which such bodies decide
Working knowledge of data science and IoT. Minimum knowledge is acceptable; we will teach the rest
Able to hold the honest line: we do not claim any single injury was preventable. We claim that a yard which watches continuously sees more than a yard which watches at exercise
Absolute respect for the animal, and for the trainers and veterinarians authority over its care
Willing to be at the track early, and often
