Role & responsibilities

The IP Manager will be responsible for the overall management and smooth functioning of in-patient services, ensuring effective patient flow, timely admissions and discharges, coordination among clinical and non-clinical departments, and delivery of a high-quality patient experience.

The role requires solid coordination with Doctors, Nursing, Billing, Insurance/TPA, Pharmacy, Diagnostics, Housekeeping, Dietary, Front Office, Medical Records, and other support departments to ensure seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

A. In-Patient Operations
Manage the day-to-day operations of all in-patient services.
Ensure smooth and timely patient admission, bed allocation, transfer, and discharge processes.
Monitor bed occupancy, bed availability, room allocation, and patient movement.
Coordinate with nursing and clinical teams for effective utilization of beds.
Ensure timely completion of discharge processes and minimize unnecessary delays.
Monitor and resolve operational issues affecting patient flow.




Ensure adequate coordination during interdepartmental and inter-unit patient transfers.

B. Patient Experience
Ensure a high standard of patient and attendant experience throughout the hospital stay.
Address patient and attendant concerns related to room allocation, services, delays, coordination, and other operational matters.
Coordinate with concerned departments for timely resolution of complaints.
Monitor patient feedback and identify opportunities for service improvement.
Ensure skilled communication and courteous behaviour by staff interacting with patients and attendants.

C. Coordination with Clinical Teams
Coordinate closely with consultants, doctors, nursing teams, and allied healthcare departments.
Facilitate smooth communication between clinical and support departments.
