●
Performance Ratio (PR) Tracking:
Monitor and analyze the PR and Capacity Utilization
Factor (CUF) for MW-scale plants, ensuring they meet contractual obligations.
●
Deep Data Analytics:
Use Python, R, or advanced MS Excel/Google Sheets to analyze large
datasets from SCADA systems to identify degradation trends or equipment underperformance
●
Lost Energy Attribution:
Calculate energy losses specifically due to grid downtime, clipping,
soiling, and thermal effects to provide a explicit "Actual vs. Theoretical" generation gap analysis.
●
Forecasting & Modeling:
Use PVSyst or Meteonorm data to create generation forecasts and
compare real-time data against weather-adjusted benchmarks.
●
Soiling Analysis:
Analyze soiling losses to optimize cleaning cycles for MW-scale sites,
balancing cost vs. generation gain.
●
Reporting:
Prepare high-level technical reports for stakeholders, highlighting monthly
generation health and proposing corrective actions for system-level inefficiencies.
Qualifications and Skills
●
Education:
B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or Renewable Energy.
●
Experience:
Minimum 7 years, specifically in solar data analytics or performance engineering
for MW-scale plants.
●
Software Proficiency:
Expert level in MS Excel and SCADA systems. Proficiency in PVSyst
and data visualization tools (like Power BI or Tableau) is preferred.
●
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of PV system, inverter efficiency curves, and
different losses.
