About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team in Kozhikode. The selected candidate will work from our office and provide dedicated accounting support to one of our UAE-based insurance clients. The role requires solid accounting knowledge, excellent Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations with accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a rapid-paced workplace, handling large volumes of financial data, performing reconciliations, and supporting the client's finance operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Compliance
Process and verify accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
Reconcile insurance company statements and identify discrepancies.
Prepare customer invoices, payment records, and commission statements.




Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Support VAT preparation and ensure proper documentation for UAE VAT compliance.
Assist during internal and external audit processes by providing required schedules and supporting documents.

Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliation schedules.
Generate reports related to revenue, receivables, payables, and cash movements.
Analyze accounting data and highlight discrepancies or unusual transactions.
Respond to finance-related queries from the client and internal management.
Maintain various MIS reports and financial trackers.

Excel & Data Management
Prepare and maintain financial reports using Microsoft Excel.
Handle large datasets with accuracy and efficiency.
