About Sandow Cafe

Sandow Cafe is a new café in Kakkanad offering gourmet sandwiches, burritos, beverages, desserts and more. We are looking for an energetic, responsible and versatile Kitchen Assistant/cashier to join our opening team.

Role Overview

This is a multi-functional role where you will be responsible for both customer-facing and kitchen-support duties. The ideal candidate should be comfortable moving between the front counter and kitchen based on the flow of business.

Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service.
Take customer orders and operate the POS system.
Handle cash, UPI, card and other payments accurately.
Prepare bills and manage takeaway and delivery orders.
Assist customers with menu and product-related queries.
Assist with basic food preparation, cooking and assembly of menu items.
Prepare ingredients, sauces and other kitchen components as required.
Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness and organization.
Keep the front counter, dining area and kitchen workspaces clean.
Coordinate smoothly between the kitchen and front counter to ensure orders are served correctly and on time.




Support the team during busy service periods and take up whichever task is required at the time.
Follow standard operating procedures, portion control and food-safety practices.
Assist with stock handling, receiving and organizing ingredients when required.

What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in a café, restaurant, QSR or food-service environment is preferred.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
Comfortable handling customers and operating a POS system.
Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
Honest, responsible and punctual.
Able to multitask and work efficiently during busy hours.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work as part of a small team.
