Department: Steel Melting Shop (Induction Furnace)| Location: SRP, Ramgarh | Reports to: Unit Head – SMS

Purpose: Maximise availability of induction furnaces, CCM and auxiliaries through planned maintenance, quick breakdown response and permanent elimination of repeat failures.

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)

Experience: 12–15 years in SMS (induction furnace) maintenance of furnaces and continuous casting machines.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all SMS equipment.
Plan and control furnace coil replacement, tilting hydraulics, panel cooling and crucible life.
Maintain CCM systems — mould oscillation, withdrawal, cooling and cutting.
Maintain EOT cranes, ladles, dust extraction, compressors and water systems.
Own shutdown scope, manpower, spares and duration planning.
Drive root-cause elimination of repeat breakdowns; maintain equipment history cards.
Define critical spares with Stores; enforce old-part return against every replacement issue.
Enforce LOTO, work permits and statutory testing of cranes and lifting tackle.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
