Design, execute, and own manual testing for a large scale fintech platform. You'll be the frontline quality gate crafting test cases, performing exploratory testing, logging defects, and supporting UAT with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse requirements and user stories to design comprehensive test cases
Execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT test cycles
Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases not covered by scripted tests
Log, track, and verify defects in the defect management system
Collaborate with automation testers to identify positive candidates for automation
Support UAT sessions with business users prepare test data, guide them through flows
Participate in defect triage and root cause analysis with developers
Maintain test case repositories and traceability matrices
Tool Stack:
Jira and Zephyr (or qTest) for test case management and defect tracking
Confluence for documentation
Postman for manual API testing
Swagger / OpenAPI to understand API specifications
Appian to understand and navigate the application under test
ACCELQ or Katalon for low-code test creation
BrowserStack / Sauce Labs / LambdaTest for cross-browser compatibility testing
SQL clients (DBeaver, DataGrip) for backend data verification
Desktop applications (Burp Suite, if involved in basic security smoke checks)
