About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Lead Mechanical Engineer with robust expertise in New Product Development (NPD) and Recent Product Introduction (NPI) to join our engineering team in Mumbai.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and developing mechanical systems/subsystems for high-volume products, preferably from the Robotics, Consumer Electronics, or Electronics Manufacturing domain.
This role requires robust ownership across the complete product development lifecycle from concept and feasibility to design validation and manufacturing readiness.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design and development of products/systems/subsystems from concept to production.
Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of mechanical design engineers, ensuring effective task allocation, technical guidance, timely delivery, and overall team development.
Ensure the design aligns with product architecture, functional requirements, quality,



reliability, and cost objectives.
Drive NPD/NPI activities, including prototype development, validation, pilot builds, and mass production readiness.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Electronics, Firmware, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
Conduct concept studies, feasibility analysis, and introduce innovative technologies/processes.
Ensure designs comply with safety, reliability, and applicable regulatory standards.
Perform structural design, tolerance analysis, hand calculations, and FEM/FEA analysis.
Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, EBOMs, and engineering documentation.
Conduct DFMEA and proactively identify product and manufacturing risks.
Drive DFM/DFA practices to optimize product manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
Support vendor development, tooling discussions, and production issue resolution during
