Role & responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, acquire new clients, and expand ASMEs certification services in India.
Market Research & Chance Mapping:
Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify recent business prospects and potential partners in the conformity assessment and L&D; sectors.
Client Management & Negotiation:
Build long-term relationships with clients, manage key accounts, and lead negotiations to secure contracts and ensure client satisfaction.
Forecasting & Business Planning:
Prepare and monitor annual, quarterly, and monthly business plans aligned with L&D; goals and set performance targets by segment.
Event & Conference Coordination:
Plan and execute technical events, member workshops, and summits, ensuring coordination with faculty, institutions, and internal teams.
Sales Reporting & Performance Monitoring:
Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and metrics to senior management and lead review meetings with the BD team.




Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teamsTEC, T&D;, marketing, and contentto support training delivery and develop promotional strategies.
Proposal & Presentation Support:
Assist in preparing sales proposals, TEC presentations, and promotional materials in collaboration with product and marketing teams.
Database & Communication Management:
Maintain ERP/spreadsheet records, customer databases, and ensure timely internal and external communication.
Stakeholder Engagement & Networking:
Engage with external associations (EEPC, IEI, Chambers, etc.) and represent ASME at industry events to build partnerships.

Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or academic operations within the engineering or standards industry.
