QA Functional API Test Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with strong expertise in Functional Testing and API Testing, along with hands-on experience in leveraging AI tools for test case generation, test design, and API validation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in quick-paced environments and capable of improving QA efficiency using AI-assisted testing approaches.

Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end functional testing across web and mobile applications.
Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements.
Perform API testing and validation using tools like Postman, REST clients, or automation frameworks.
Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar) for test case generation, test scenario optimization, and API test design and validation.
Identify, analyze, and track defects with proper root cause analysis (RCA).
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives.
Improve QA processes by introducing automation and AI-driven efficiencies.
Validate data integrity and backend workflows.

Robust understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Experience in Manual Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, and UAT.
Ability to create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

Hands-on experience with REST API testing.
