Role Description
This is a full time, in office Senior Hardware Engineer role based in Chennai.
The Senior Hardware
Engineer will design, develop, and validate electronic hardware for automotive applications, including circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB lay-outing.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop embedded hardware systems for automotive applications (ECUs).
Perform schematic design, component selection, and PCB lay-outing.
Conduct circuit simulations, Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and thermal analysis.
Execute hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using standard lab equipment.
Participate in design reviews, and perform DFMEA and reliability analysis.
Support manufacturing through DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testability) activities,
including test fixture development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, validation) for system integration.
Required Skills
Robust experience in automotive hardware design and development.
Experience in schematic capture and PCB design using Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, Altium, or similar tools.
Knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), and EMC/EMI design practices.
Experience in board bring-up, debugging, and failure analysis.
