We are seeking a Property Underwriter to join our brokerage team. You will evaluate, analyze, and place property risks with our panel of insurance carriers. Unlike carrier-side underwriters, your focus will be on finding creative risk solutions for our clients while maintaining profitable carrier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze Risk: Evaluate property exposures, construction types, occupancies, and protection classes.
Negotiate Terms: Liaise with insurance carriers to secure competitive pricing, deductibles, and coverage terms.
Review Underwriting: Inspect property surveys, loss histories, and financial statements to assess risk quality.
Manage Relationships: Maintain solid connections with both internal account executives and external carrier underwriters.
Ensure Compliance: Verify that all bindings and policies adhere to carrier guidelines and regulatory standards.
Monitor Portfolios: Track book performance,



loss ratios, and renewal retention rates.

Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum [5–8] years of property underwriting experience, preferably within a brokerage setting.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business, or a related field.
Certifications: BQP

Software Skills: Advance Excel

Key Skills
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex property data and loss models.
Negotiation: Proven track record of successfully negotiating coverage limits and pricing.
Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for explaining complex risks to non-technical stakeholders.
Time Management: Efficiency in handling high volumes of renewals and recent business submissions simultaneously.
