Job Responsibilities
Operate Conventional Surface Grinding machines for precision grinding operations.
Set up and operate the machine according to job requirements and specifications.
Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
Perform grinding operations to achieve required dimensions and surface finish.
Select and dress grinding wheels as per material and job requirements.
Set and adjust machine parameters for accurate grinding.
Perform in-process inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Identify and troubleshoot basic grinding and machine-related issues.
Maintain machine cleanliness, lubrication, and proper working condition.
Follow production schedules, quality procedures,
and workplace safety requirements.
Required Skills
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Conventional Surface Grinder.
Solid knowledge of surface grinding operations and machine setup.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
Knowledge of grinding wheels, wheel dressing, and surface finishing.
Good knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
Ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain quality standards.
Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Positive attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Qualification ITI / Diploma – Mechanical, Machinist, Fitter, or related technical qualification.
