Job Description

The purpose of this position is to manage daily operations of Sub Value stream(s) level, plan resources, estimate and assess conformance to safety, quality & shop-floor standards, define deviation management, develop skill & competency of FLMs and maintain harmonious industrial relations to achieve targeted operational results.

- Operations Management

Supervise production setup as per production schedule, monitor production efficiency, define standard procedures, methods & work instructions, manage and monitor primary production activities to fulfil SQCD targets.

Delivery fulfilment, SQCD targets

- Management of Manufacturing Processes

Assess LPC maturity to facilitate improvements in safety, quality & shop-floor standards. Monitor shift events (attendance, breakdowns, quality issues, criticality, performance, etc) and support FLMs for seamless production continuity.

FPY, IDC

- Resource Management

Administer the resource efficiency to achieve value stream targets e.g Productivity, Tool cost .. etc. Define and implement innovative solutions for de-skilling of processes as per MJV (Maximum Job Value).

- Continuous Improvement & Change Initiatives

Promote continuous improvement and learning environment by involving associates and FLMs in gradual value stream development related to SQCD KPIs. Mentor FLMs and associates on organizational change initiatives to implement transformational improvements of VS performance E.g. Agile, I4.0, BPS etc.

- Communication and collaboration





Define communication platforms with team and contribute on VS topics, e.g. goals, challenges & success, performances etc, to enhance productivity & harmonious industrial relations. Organise periodic communication with labour union and associates to strengthen industrial relations.

- Skill and competency development

Assess and plan required functional (e.g BPS, Digital, Agile) & behavioral competencies of FLMs and associates as per defined competence and skill needs. Assess training effectiveness of associates. Check performance of associates (PMS) as per defined interval to facilitate high-performance culture.

- Performance management

Supervise and contribute in improving production performance and efficiency of sub value streams (OEE, levelling etc.). Establish deviation management and collaborate with CFT members to achieve targeted performance conditions.

- Problem Solving

Develop Do It Right (DIR) approach and monitor daily Quality deviations to defined standards e.g. internal rejections. Assess root cause identification, ideate & facilitate implementation of necessary measures.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical / EEE / ECE / Industrial / Automotive/Metallurgy)
- MBA / M. Tech. in production (desired)

- 8+ years in Auto component / Auto ancillary manufacturing industry
- 3+ years of experience in managing unionized/non-unionized/temporary workforce

Additional Information

Knowledge

- Advanced knowledge of product and component function / construction / drawings / BOM / PDS. Advanced knowledge in Production Management, Manufacturing processes & measurement Techniques, Special processes incl. Heat treatment & Surface treatment.
- Advanced knowledge of operations management, standing orders, Bosch Code of business conduct and related statutes.
- Advanced knowledge in Work Safety, Workplace & Health practices and regulations. Advanced knowledge in Product Liability & Quality Management as well as problem solving tools 4Q, Shainin.
- Competent Knowledge of I4.0 and digitalization.

Functional Skills

- Advanced skill in communication and conflict management.
- Competent in managing CNC machines, Assembly MAE controls, Testing benches, measurement & test equipment's and Special Processes incl. Heat treatment & Surface treatment.
- Advanced skill in handling vision systems, Scanners and Advanced IT tools: SAP, MES, MAS
- Advanced skill in People management and handling shopfloor grievance
- Basic (Novice) skill of Ergonomics and MTM standards
