The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the energy, oil & gas, hydrogen, chemicals, low-carbon fuels, and industrial decarbonisation sectors. The role involves supporting projects across the full lifecycle, from concept development and techno-commercial studies to FEED, detailed engineering, commissioning support, and operational optimisation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in process engineering fundamentals, mass and energy balance development, process simulations, and preparation and review of key process deliverables. Experience in capital cost estimation and working with multidisciplinary teams is essential. Exposure to hydrogen, ammonia, e-methanol, and gas processing projects will be advantageous. The candidate will work closely with clients, OEMs, EPC contractors, licensors, lenders, project developers, and internal teams, contributing to projects across India and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop process concepts, technical solutions, and capital cost estimates for chemical and energy transition projects.
- Prepare and review key process engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs;, mass and heat balances, and equipment datasheets.
- Perform process simulations using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Pro Max, Uni Sim, or similar software.
- Lead and support feasibility studies, techno-economic assessments, Pre-FEED, FEED,
and detailed engineering activities.
- Conduct process calculations, hydraulic studies, relief valve sizing, flare analysis, and process safety assessments.
- Drive process optimisation, troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and energy efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Support technology selection, licensor coordination, process package reviews, and technical solution evaluations.
- Prepare technical proposals, EPC tender packages, bid documents, and project reports.
- Collaborate with clients, OEMs, EPC contractors, and multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
Is this role right for you?
We are looking for individuals who:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is mandatory; Master’s degree in Chemical/Process Engineering is preferred
- Additional exposure to Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, Process Safety, or Energy Modelling is an advantage.
- Proven experience in process engineering within consulting, EPC, technology licensor, or owner/operator organisations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical engineering skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work effectively with stakeholders, and deliver client-focused solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and commercial awareness skills
