Role Description This is a full-time, in office Site Engineer role based in Hooghly. The Site Engineer will oversee day-to-day site activities related to equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance within aluminium, iron, and steel plants. Responsibilities include coordinating with client teams and OEM representatives, monitoring construction and structural work, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and implementing quality control procedures. The role involves preparing site reports, documenting progress, resolving technical issues, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and timelines.



The Site Engineer will also support after-sales service activities and provide clear communication on project status to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Strong on-site supervision and field coordination skills, with the ability to manage daily activities at industrial project locations.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with clients, OEM representatives, contractors, and internal teams.
- Experience in quality control, including inspection of work, adherence to standards, and documentation of test results and compliance.
- Background in structural engineering and civil engineering, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and basic understanding of mechanical and process equipment used in heavy industries.
- Proficiency in using standard engineering and office software for reporting, drawing review, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently at site, adapt to industrial environments, and travel to client locations as required.
