About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong SAP Datasphere & BW/HANA Manager to lead a team within our growing data and analytics practice. In this role, you will own the technical direction and delivery quality of enterprise data solutions built on SAP's modern data platform ecosystem - spanning SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP HANA - while managing, mentoring, and developing a team of consultants. You will act as the primary point of accountability for client engagements, balancing hands-on technical leadership with people management, resource planning, and practice growth.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Senior Associates, Associates, and Consultants across multiple client engagements, setting clear goals and growth plans.
Own resource planning, staffing, and workload allocation across projects to ensure optimal utilization and delivery quality.
Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and drive career development and upskilling plans for team members.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture and drive knowledge-sharing, coaching, and capability-building initiatives within the practice.
Own hiring, onboarding, and talent development for the team, including technical interviews and skill assessments.
Technical & Delivery Leadership
Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise data solutions, providing architectural oversight for data models, data flows, and transformation logic in SAP Datasphere and SAP BW/4HANA.
Set technical direction and review architecture for SAP HANA-native solutions including calculation views, stored procedures, and optimized data models.
Lead large-scale data migration and harmonization programs from legacy BW systems to BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Oversee design and governance of data integration pipelines using SAP Data Intelligence, SAP Integration Suite,



or third-party ETL tools.
Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting across the SAP HANA platform.
Guide teams on SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics initiatives, leveraging CDS views and OData services, and review deliverables for quality and best practice adherence.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary client-facing owner for engagements, managing executive stakeholder relationships and translating business priorities into delivery plans.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to shape analytical requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions and roadmaps.
Manage project governance, status reporting, risk mitigation, and escalation handling across one or more client accounts.
Practice & Business Development
Drive pre-sales activities including solution scoping, effort estimation, proposal development, and client presentations.
Contribute to practice-building initiatives such as reusable accelerators, methodology development, and go-to-market offerings.
Support account growth by identifying opportunities for expanded engagement scope and cross-sell within existing clients.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical Expertise
10-14 years of hands-on experience with SAP BW (BW 7.x / BW/4HANA) and SAP HANA, including at least 2+ years in a team leadership or people-management capacity.
Deep proficiency in SAP Datasphere - including business layer, data layer, data flows, and federation scenarios.
Strong command of ABAP (BW-specific) and SQL/SQLScript for HANA development, with the ability to review and guide others' technical work.
Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) integration, story development, and planning models.
Solid understanding of dimensional modelling, star schemas, Info Providers, and data warehousing best practices.
Hands-on experience with SAP LT Replication Server (SLT), SAP Data Services, or SAP Data Intelligence.




Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics, CDS views, and virtual data models (VDM).
Proven track record of leading project teams, managing delivery timelines, and owning client relationships.

SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BW/4HANA
SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 2.0
SAP Datasphere Associate Certification (where available)
Project or people management certification (e.g., PMP, Certified Scrum Master) is a plus
