Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Service Now Architect with 10+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on experience in Service Now ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, integrations, and platform architecture.

The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable and enterprise-grade Service Now solutions, defining technical architecture and integration strategies, establishing platform best practices, and providing technical leadership across Service Now implementations and transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have a strong balance of architecture and hands-on technical expertise, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, infrastructure, cloud, Dev Ops, and application teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own the technical architecture and solution design for Service Now ITOM and related platform initiatives.
- Design scalable solutions across CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Service Graph Connectors and CSDM.
- Define CMDB architecture, data models, CI relationships, data governance and CSDM alignment.
- Architect integrations between Service Now and enterprise systems, cloud platforms and monitoring tools, including AWS.
- Define integration patterns using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, Flow Designer, MID Server and Scripted REST APIs.
- Provide architectural guidance on configuration vs customization, ensuring solutions remain scalable, maintainable and upgrade-safe.
- Define and review technical solutions involving Java Script, Glide APIs, Script Includes,



Business Rules and other Service Now development components.
- Establish Service Now platform architecture standards, development best practices, security and governance frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership for ITSM capabilities including Service Catalog, Request Fulfillment and Change Management where required.
- Support architecture and integration requirements for Dev Ops, CI/CD and release/deployment processes.
- Conduct technical design reviews, architecture reviews and code/design governance.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex ITOM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping and integration issues.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, infrastructure, cloud, Dev Ops and application teams to translate business requirements into scalable Service Now solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Service Now developers and implementation teams.
- Contribute to solution proposals, technical documentation, estimation and RFP/RFI responses where required.
- Support Service Now upgrade planning, platform modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

- 10+ years of overall IT experience with 8+ years of relevant Service Now experience.
- Strong experience in Service Now architecture and solution design.
- Strong hands-on expertise in ITOM.
- Extensive experience with CMDB, Discovery,



Service Mapping and Event Management.
- Strong understanding of CSDM, CMDB governance, CI relationships and data management.
- Experience with Service Graph Connectors.
- Strong knowledge of Service Now platform architecture and best practices.
- Strong Service Now Java Script and scripting skills.
- Positive knowledge of Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules and Client Scripts.
- Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs and bidirectional integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Integration Hub, Flow Designer and MID Server.
- Experience with AWS / cloud integrations and Discovery.
- Good understanding of ITSM, Service Catalog, Request Fulfillment and Change Management.
- Exposure to Service Now Dev Ops, CI/CD and deployment integrations.
- Experience in technical design, architecture reviews and solution governance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

- Service Now Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progress toward CTA.
- Service Now ITOM Implementation Specialist / CIS-ITOM certification.
- CIS – Discovery / CMDB / CSDM.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git Hub, Git Lab or Azure Dev Ops.
- Experience with Service Now upgrades and large-scale enterprise implementations.
- Experience working with enterprise architecture teams and architecture governance boards.
- Experience with Service Now AI / Now Assist / automation is an advantage.
