Lead Architect – Major Projects | Mumbai

Institutional | Commercial | Research & Technology Projects

AADC is looking to strengthen its architectural leadership team with the appointment of a Lead Architect – Major Projects.

The position offers the opportunity to lead large-scale and technically complex architectural assignments for leading institutional and corporate clients, including IIT Bombay, with exposure to advanced research environments, multidisciplinary engineering, contemporary building systems and technology-led project delivery.

The Role

The Lead Architect will take ownership of major projects from concept through design development, technical resolution, documentation and execution, ensuring design quality, coordination and delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading the architectural design and delivery of major projects from concept to completion
- Managing project planning, schedules, resources, deliverables and key project risks
- Integrating Architecture, Structure, MEP, Interiors, Façade and specialist systems into cohesive and buildable solutions
- Driving design development, technical resolution and GFC documentation
- Leading client meetings, design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination
- Managing consultants and multiple project stakeholders
- Mentoring project architects and guiding internal design teams
- Ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, sustainability principles and contemporary architectural best practices
- Maintaining design intent, technical quality and constructability through execution

The Profile

We would be interested in meeting architects with:

- 10+ years of professional experience,



including substantial responsibility for large-scale architectural and commercial projects
- Robust architectural design, detailing and technical documentation capabilities
- Proven project management and project leadership experience
- Ability to independently manage complex projects, multidisciplinary consultants and client relationships
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution;
professional registration preferred
- Advanced proficiency in relevant design and documentation platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino or equivalent
- Strong visualization, presentation and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of building codes, regulations, sustainability principles and contemporary construction practices

Experience with large institutional, educational, research or technically complex projects would be a distinct advantage.

Exposure to BIM, parametric design, digital collaboration platforms and emerging design-technology workflows would also be valued.
