- Lead and manage the complete Electrical and Controls department.
- Establish engineering standards, design practices, and automation strategies.
- Drive technology implementation and process improvements.
- Support business growth through innovative automation solutions.
2. Electrical System Design
- Review and approve electrical circuit designs, control panel layouts, and wiring schematics.
- Ensure proper selection of:
- PLC systems
- Servo motors and drives
- VFDs
- Sensors and field devices
- Safety systems
- HMI and SCADA systems
- Standardize electrical components and BOMs.
3. PLC / HMI / SCADA Development
- Lead development and validation of PLC and HMI programs.
- Ensure standard coding practices and modular programming structures.
- Support troubleshooting and optimization of machine control logic.
- Supervise integration of SCADA and data monitoring systems.
4. Robotics & Motion Control
- Lead robotic automation integration projects.
- Support motion control systems and multi-axis applications.
- Drive implementation of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing solutions.
5. Project Execution & Commissioning
- Plan and monitor project schedules and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with mechanical design, production, procurement, and customer teams.
- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Support machine trials, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
6. Team Leadership
- Lead Electrical Design Engineers, PLC Programmers, and Controls Engineers.
- Develop team competency and technical capabilities.
- Conduct performance evaluation and training plans.
7. Customer & Vendor Management
- Participate in technical discussions with customers.
- Provide technical solutions and clarifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers and OEMs regarding components and technical requirements.
8. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to electrical standards and safety requirements.
- Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and statutory standards.
Required Technical Skills
- Solid knowledge of Industrial Automation and Machine Control Systems
