JD for Gitlab, Jenkins, CI/CD
- Analyze existing Jenkins build and deployment jobs to define equivalent GitLab CI/CD pipeline configurations, ensuring feature parity and improved reliability
- Engineer custom Go-Lang utilities, CLI tools, and pipeline extensions to automate repetitive migration tasks and enforce organizational standards
- Partner directly with application teams to assess pipeline complexity, define migration plans, and execute end-to-end cutovers from Jenkins to GitLab
- Design and implement reusable .gitlab-ci.yml templates, shared CI/CD components, and pipeline includes that standardize build, test, and deployment stages across teams
- Translate Jenkins plugins, shared libraries, and Groovy-based pipeline logic into GitLab-native equivalents using GitLab CI features (rules, needs, environments, artifacts, services)
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures during and after migration, providing hands-on support to application teams through stabilization
- Maintain and extend Go-Lang-based microservices and DevOps tooling that integrate with GitLab APIs, artifact registries, and deployment targets
- Enable SDLC compliance by embedding required security scans, code quality gates, change management validations, and audit evidence collection directly into migrated CI/CD pipelines
- Document migration patterns, runbooks, and lessons learned to enable self-service adoption by future application teams
- Collaborate across time zones with onshore engineering leads, platform architects, and application owners to align migration priorities and delivery timelines
Contribute to continuous improvement of the CI/CD platform by identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and implementing solutions in Go-Lang or pipeline configuration.
