Roles and Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough risk assessments on US mortgage applications to determine creditworthiness.
- Review and analyze financial documents, such as income statements, balance sheets, and credit reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues related to loan closings, collateral documentation, and bank guarantees (BG).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the underwriting process.
Job Requirements :
- 2-9 years of experience in US residential mortgage underwriting or a related field.
- Solid understanding of Fannie Mae's guidelines for conventional loans, Freddie Mac's standards for government-backed loans, and other relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in reviewing complex financial data using software tools like P&L; statements, cash flow analyses, and credit scorecards.
