JOB SUMMARY

Anodyne Water Engineering is looking for a hands-on IoT Engineer to design, deploy, and support the connected-device backbone behind our industrial water treatment, Online Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (OCEMS), gas detection, and SCADA automation solutions. You will work closely with our engineering and project delivery teams to integrate sensors, build reliable data transmission pipelines, and connect field instrumentation to cloud and SCADA platforms for clients across PSUs and large industrials such as Indian Oil, HPCL, SAIL, Asian Paints, and Coca-Cola. This role suits someone who enjoys working across embedded systems, industrial networking, and cloud-connected monitoring — and who is comfortable moving between the workbench and live plant sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement IoT solutions for water treatment, OCEMS, and gas detection systems — covering sensor integration, embedded systems, and data transmission protocols.
- Work with SCADA, PLC, and automation teams to connect field instrumentation and ensure smooth, reliable data flow from site to dashboard.
- Develop and maintain firmware for IoT devices and monitoring stations, optimizing for performance, reliability, and energy efficiency in industrial environments.
- Integrate cloud platforms (AWS IoT, , or equivalent) to enable real-time data management, reporting, and analytics for client monitoring systems.
- Implement data security best practices — encryption and secure communication — across IoT devices and industrial networks, in line with PSU and regulatory requirements.
- Support installation, commissioning, and post-deployment monitoring of IoT and automation systems at client sites, troubleshooting issues to ensure uptime.

- Collaborate with the Proposal Engineering and Project Service teams to scope technical solutions and support smooth handovers from design to deployment.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
- 3–5 years of experience in IoT development, with a focus on embedded systems and sensor integration — industrial or environmental monitoring background preferred.
- Working knowledge of IoT and industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, and Modbus.
- Experience with cloud IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Google Cloud IoT, or Microsoft Azure IoT.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and embedded systems fundamentals.
- Familiarity with security protocols and best practices for industrial IoT networks.

MUST HAVE

- Strong proficiency in C/C++, Python, or JavaScript for embedded systems programming.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and field instrumentation.
- Practical experience with IoT/automation device deployment and in office troubleshooting — comfortable working at client plant locations.

HARD SKILLS

- IoT & Industrial Protocols: MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, Modbus.
- Sensor Integration: experience integrating diverse sensors (flow, gas, emission, water-quality) into monitoring systems.
- Networking: familiarity with Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, or Wi-Fi for field connectivity.
- Cloud Platforms: AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar for data management and reporting.
- Embedded Systems: proficiency with microcontrollers and embedded systems design.

SOFT SKILLS

- Problem-Solving: able to troubleshoot complex issues in connected, field-deployed systems.
- Analytical Thinking: assess device and data performance to continuously improve solutions.
- Communication: coordinate effectively with engineering, project delivery, and client-side teams.
- Attention to Detail: ensure monitoring solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant.
- Adaptability: comfortable working across office, workshop, and live industrial site environments.
