Purpose
- Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) function for IT Application Development and Digital Transformation initiatives across Chola MS.
- Establish and drive project governance, delivery standards, resource planning, portfolio management, budgeting, and executive reporting for technology programs.
- Ensure successful execution of application development, cloud transformation, digital initiatives, regulatory projects, and enterprise technology programs within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Act as a strategic partner between business stakeholders, technology leadership, project teams, vendors, and delivery functions to maximize business value realization.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage PMO governance frameworks, methodologies, standards, templates, and reporting mechanisms across IT projects.
- Drive portfolio planning, project prioritization, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, scope, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
- Develop and maintain enterprise project dashboards, portfolio status reports, and executive MIS.
- Track project health using KPIs, delivery metrics, milestone adherence, budget utilization, and resource productivity measures.
- Facilitate project governance reviews, steering committee meetings, and executive management reviews.
- Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, and dependency tracking.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile, DevOps, PMO governance, compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage project financials including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and benefit realization.
- Support vendor governance including contract tracking, SLA management, and performance reviews.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, and PMO team members.
- Drive Agile governance, sprint reporting, release planning, and delivery tracking.
Technical Requirements
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 12-15 years of overall experience with at least 8 years in Project Management, Program Management, PMO, or Technology Delivery leadership roles.
- Strong experience managing enterprise IT development projects and digital transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience in PMO setup, governance, portfolio management, and multi-project delivery management.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Expertise in project planning, estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
- Strong experience in risk management, issue management, dependency management, and executive reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, AWS DevOps, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Confluence, SharePoint, and Excel.
- Experience managing vendor engagements and delivery partners.
- Experience in BFSI, Insurance, or highly regulated industries preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or equivalent certifications preferred.
