Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a Junior Engineer - Component Engineering located in Chennai

What a typical day looks like:

- Enter and maintain component data and manufacturer information & approved vendor lists in global component database.

- Create a component database for all the Electrical/Electronic & Indirect materials Quality review of the component parameter attributes from datasheets.

- Validate MPN and provide Alternates

- Monitor Component EOL and manage the component obsolescence Part of a cross-functional team in implementing product component changes within the Company

- Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications

- Respond to Business Partner (requestor) and customer on queries relating to Component specifications

- Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics

- Ensure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards.

- Train new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant tools or topics.

- Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.

- Identify, recommend,



and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes

- Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

- B. E(ECE/EEE/E&I;) graduate with (0-2) years of experience as a Component Engineer in Manufacturing set up, preferably in EMS industry

- Adaptable to work in night shifts.

- Hands on experience in the following domains

- NPI (New Product Introduction) BOM (Bill of Materials) Management

- Semiconductor sourcing/Analysis

- Working Knowledge of ERP, preferably BAAN

- Hands on Experience in any PLM software

- Should have good Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point & Word skills

- Command over oral and written skills in English

- Good analytical skills, logical thinking, Coaching & mentoring skills.

- Should be open for shift
