Job Summary

Sri Ram Hospitals is looking for a responsible and patient-focused Duty Medical Officer (DMO) to join our clinical team. The DMO will be responsible for providing timely medical care, monitoring patients, assisting consultants, handling emergencies and ensuring smooth coordination between patients, doctors and hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend to patients and provide initial medical assessment and treatment.
- Monitor patients and identify any changes in their clinical condition.
- Handle medical emergencies and provide immediate management as required.
- Conduct initial evaluation of emergency and outpatient cases.
- Assist consultants and specialists during patient care and procedures.
- Take detailed patient history and perform clinical examinations.
- Review and monitor vital signs, investigations and treatment progress.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient medical records and clinical documentation.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, consultants, laboratory and other hospital departments.
- Ensure timely implementation of doctors' orders and treatment plans.
- Communicate clearly with patients and their attendants regarding treatment and care.
- Escalate critical cases to the concerned consultant/specialist without delay.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection-control practices and patient-safety standards.
- Ensure proper handover of patients and important clinical information between shifts.




- Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality of patient information.
- Support smooth functioning of the hospital during assigned duty shifts.

Eligibility

- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.
- 0–2 years of experience preferred.
- Fresh MBBS graduates with good clinical knowledge and communication skills may also apply.
- Candidates should be willing to work in rotational/assigned shifts.

- Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses and hospital staff.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic knowledge of emergency management and hospital procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a clinical team.

Preferred

- Previous experience as a DMO / Medical Officer / Casualty Medical Officer will be an advantage.
- Experience in emergency/casualty or hospital-based patient care is preferred.
- Candidates with strong clinical and communication skills are encouraged to apply.
