Role & responsibilities

To handle day-to-day procurement of valve automation accessories, ensuring timely availability, competitive pricing, supplier coordination, and compliance with technical/customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure actuators, positioners, solenoid valves, limit switches, AFRs, volume boosters, gearboxes and other valve accessories.
- Float RFQs, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate prices.
- Review BOMs, datasheets and specifications to ensure correct material/make is procured.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production and suppliers for technical clarifications and approvals.
- Release and follow up on Purchase Orders, ensuring timely delivery as per project/production requirements.
- Track critical and pending orders and proactively highlight delivery delays.
- Coordinate with suppliers for required test certificates, calibration reports and other quality documents.




- Support alternate supplier / alternate make development and cost-saving initiatives.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier data and MIS in ERP / Excel.

Preferred candidate profile

- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical or related discipline.
- Experience: 36 years in Purchase / Procurement, preferably in control valves, instrumentation, automation, pumps or industrial equipment.
- Good knowledge of valve automation accessories and basic understanding of technical datasheets.
- Experience in RFQ, quotation comparison, negotiation, PO processing and supplier follow-up.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel; SAP/ERP experience preferred.
- Positive communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
- Candidates with experience handling OEMs / authorized distributors will be preferred.
