Role & responsibilities

Drawing & Documentation Interpretation

o

Reading and interpreting 3D CAD models.

o

Reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings (including dimensions, tolerances, and symbols).

o

Understanding and accurately following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Tool Handling

o

Identifying and using basic hand tools (e.g., spanners, screwdrivers, pliers).

o

Operating power tools safely (e.g., drills, torque wrenches).

o

Performing proper tool maintenance and storage.

- Fasteners Knowledge

o

Identifying different types of fasteners (e.g., bolts, nuts, washers).

o

Applying correct torque and tightening sequences.

o

Understanding thread types and locking mechanisms.

- Parts Assembly

o

Assembling mechanical components as per drawings and specifications.

o

Performing alignment and fitting of parts.

o

Conducting visual and functional checks post-assembly.

- Bought-Out Parts Handling

o

Identifying and understanding bought-out components (e.g., bearings, couplings, motors).

o

Explaining the working principles of key components.

o
