Job Description – Ocean Import & Export Operations

Department: Ocean Freight

1. Job Summary

Responsible for handling end-to-end Ocean Import & Export shipments, ensuring timely documentation, coordination with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents, CHA and transporters, and smooth shipment execution.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end Ocean Import & Export shipment operations.
- Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents, CHA and transporters.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including BL, SI, Invoice, Packing List and related documents.
- Coordinate booking, vessel schedules, shipment tracking, arrival and delivery.
- Handle Import DO, IGM, customs clearance and delivery coordination.
- Coordinate Export documentation, shipping instructions, VGM, BL draft and vessel cut-off.
- Follow up on shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely job/file closure and system updates.
- Coordinate with the billing team for timely invoicing and documentation.
- Maintain proper shipment records and ensure compliance with company SOPs.

3. Required Skills





- Good knowledge of Ocean Import & Export processes.
- Understanding of BL, SI, VGM, IGM, DO and customs documentation.
- Robust coordination and follow-up skills.
- Good communication with customers, shipping lines and overseas agents.
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and meet deadlines.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and freight forwarding systems.

4. Qualification

- Graduate in any discipline.
- Experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping / Logistics preferred.
