1. Overall Factory Responsibility
Take overall responsibility for day-to-day factory operations. Ensure all departments work according to the production plan. Coordinate between Assembly, Repair/Service, Inventory/Stores, Quality, Testing and Dispatch. Ensure work is completed on time and according to company standards. Identify operational problems and take corrective action. Report major issues, delays, manpower requirements and material shortages to Management.
2. Assembly Department
Supervise the complete assembly process of electronic products/components. Allocate work to assembly operators and technicians. Ensure proper use of tools, machines and equipment. Monitor production quantity and productivity. Ensure employees follow the correct assembly procedure. Check that production targets are achieved. Reduce rejection, rework and wastage.
3. Repair / Rework Department
Supervise repair and rework activities. Ensure defective products are properly diagnosed and repaired. Monitor pending repair jobs and turnaround time. Ensure repaired products are properly tested before being released. Maintain records of repaired, rejected and pending units. Identify repeated defects and take corrective action.
4. Inventory / Stores
Take overall responsibility for production-related inventory. Coordinate with the Inventory/Stores team regarding availability of components and materials. Ensure materials are issued to production properly. Monitor shortages, excess stock, damaged materials and obsolete stock. Ensure proper physical stock verification. Ensure production materials are properly stored and identified.
Inform Management in advance about material requirements.
5. Production Planning
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production plans. Allocate manpower according to workload. Set production targets for each section. Monitor actual production against planned production. Take immediate action when production falls behind schedule. Coordinate with Management regarding urgent orders and priorities.
6. Quality & Testing
Ensure products are tested before moving to the next stage or dispatch. Ensure quality standards are followed throughout production. Monitor rejection and rework rates. Identify the root cause of quality problems. Coordinate with technicians/quality personnel to resolve recurring defects. Ensure proper testing records are maintained.
7. Manpower Management
Allocate employees to different sections according to workload and skill. Monitor employee attendance, productivity and discipline. Identify manpower shortages. Train and guide employees regarding their responsibilities. Ensure employees follow company rules and safety procedures. Report serious performance or disciplinary issues to Management/HR
8. Machines, Tools & Equipment
Ensure machines, testing equipment and production tools are properly maintained. Monitor breakdowns and arrange timely repair.
Ensure tools are available and properly used. Maintain records of machine/equipment problems. Inform Management about major maintenance or replacement requirements.
9. Production Records & MIS
The Production Manager should maintain and submit reports covering: Daily production Target vs actual production Assembly status Repair status Rejection/rework Material consumption Inventory shortages Pending production Machine breakdowns Manpower availability Quality issues Dispatch readiness Major problems and corrective actions
10. Coordination With all Departments
The Production Manager will coordinate with: Management → Targets, priorities, problems and overall factory performance HR → Manpower, attendance, discipline and employee performance Purchase → Material requirements and shortages Inventory/Stores → Stock availability and material movement Sales → Order priorities and delivery commitments Accounts → Production-related requirements and cost information
11. Responsibility for Overall Factory Performance
The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring: Material available → Assembly completed → Testing completed → Repair/rework completed → Quality approved → Finished goods ready → Dispatch He should not simply supervise assembly. He should be accountable for the complete flow of production and factory operationsoperations.
Reporting to Hr/Management
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
