Job Overview

Syrus MM Hospital, Pappinisseri is looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Laboratory In-Charge to oversee the day-to-day functioning of the hospital laboratory, ensure quality standards, coordinate the laboratory team, and maintain efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory operations.
- Manage and guide laboratory technicians and support staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of laboratory investigations.
- Monitor sample collection, identification, processing, and reporting procedures.
- Maintain laboratory quality standards and documentation.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Monitor reagents, consumables, stock levels, and expiry dates.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other hospital departments.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, laboratory protocols, and quality requirements.
- Review laboratory reports and ensure proper workflow before report release.
- Handle internal quality control and support external quality assessment activities.
- Maintain laboratory records, registers,



and departmental documentation.
- Identify operational issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Train and guide laboratory staff on procedures, safety, and quality practices.
- Support audits, inspections, and accreditation-related requirements.

Eligibility & Requirements

- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a Multispeciality Hospital Laboratory is mandatory.
- Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of hospital laboratory procedures and workflow.
- Good leadership and team-management skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clinical and non-clinical departments.
- Valuable communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Candidates with experience handling hospital laboratory operations and quality systems will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
