Primary Social Studies Teachers (Grades 2–3 & Grades 4–5)

​Job Overview

We are looking for two dynamic, passionate, and creative Social Studies Teachers to join our primary school faculty:

- ​Position 1: Foundational Primary (Grades 2 & 3) – Focuses on Environmental Studies (EVS) and early social concepts through storytelling, play, and activity-based learning.
- ​Position 2: Upper Primary (Grades 4 & 5) – Focuses on formal disciplines of History, Civics, and Geography through inquiry, map work, and project-based instruction.

​Candidates may apply for either role based on their teaching experience, qualifications, and preferred grade level.

​Key Responsibilities

- ​Curriculum Delivery: Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the school’s academic standards.
- ​Pedagogy & Classroom Activities:
- ​For Grades 2 & 3: Use storytelling, role-play, craft projects, and visual aids to introduce community helpers, neighborhoods, family, and local environments.
- ​For Grades 4 & 5: Teach foundational History, Civics, and Geography, including map skills, landforms, timelines, cultural heritage, and basic governance models.
- ​Classroom Management: Build a supportive, positive, and inclusive learning environment that keeps young learners curious and disciplined.
- ​Assessment & Tracking: Design meaningful formative assessments, worksheets, quizzes, and project rubrics; maintain up-to-date academic and behavioral records.
- ​School Events & Exhibitions: Coordinate grade-level social science activities, such as Heritage Day,



exhibitions, mock parliaments, and theme-based displays.
- ​Parent Collaboration: Maintain regular, transparent communication regarding student academic progress and emotional growth during parent-teacher meetings.

​Requirements & Qualifications

- ​Education: Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Humanities (History, Geography, Political Science, or related field) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / D.El.Ed / B.Ed.
- ​Experience: 1–3 years of primary school teaching experience (Grades 1–5). Fresh graduates with strong pedagogical skills and relevant internship training are welcome to apply.
- ​Language Proficiency: Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- ​Technical Skills: Familiarity with smart boards, multimedia teaching aids, and modern activity-based learning methodologies.
- ​Aptitude: High patience, creative thinking, and solid interpersonal skills suited for primary school children.
